In 2007, PBS&J established its first affinity group, Women Inspiring Leadership (WIL). Its purpose is to provide a meaningful forum and resource for the empowerment of women at PBS&J—to support, develop, and challenge each other to be our best both professionally and personally. We intend to leverage the considerable talent of our professional women as partners and liaisons within the company, as well as in our marketplace, community, and professional organizations, providing both an internal and external focus.

In the fall of 2007, PBS&J’s WIL affinity group led PBS&J employees in generating more than $22,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s “Passionately Pink for the Cure” fundraiser for breast cancer research. In 2008, WIL served as the catalyst for initiating our corporate mentoring program, which offers internal mentoring to all employees, and again raised over $20,000 through employee contributions for the Susan G. Koman Foundation.
